If you are at my site, you probably already know that a custom photographer is the right choice for your family. Many of my clients come to me frustrated with the mass-produced feel that they have received from chain store studios. They want a more personalized, unique approach to their family’s memories. That is where working with a custom photographer comes in.

Custom photography is about creating a relationship with your family, as I will be watching your children grow through the years. It is about providing devoted 1:1 attention without worry of the next ‘in line’ or the feeling of a crowded portrait studio. It is knowing you will receive beautiful and unique pieces of art as opposed to the same pose as everyone else.

Being a custom photographer means you will have an experience unlike any chain studio can provide. Not only will the quality of the work be superior, but I take the time to get to know you and your children, find out what you really like and how that fits with my own aesthetic style. There is no rush to my sessions, and no pressure on children to “perform”. My approach, instead, is to capture your children being themselves. I enjoy providing lifestyle portraits which are a beautiful way to display the natural love, tenderness, and interaction of a family.

Picture day should not be a stressful, and I will do everything I can to make it enjoyable for everyone!

I know how hard it can be to get little ones to cooperate! I like to give kids a little bit of control during a session.  I will ask them for input on poses, settings, props, and often times even let them take a couple photos with my camera.  This tends to make them more excited about participating in the pictures. I love to capture your child being them self, so feel free to bring along anything you would like them photographed with that is special to them. I get pretty silly when it comes to working with kids so expect to laugh a lot during our session.  I want you all to have fun!

It’s a great idea to bring along some snacks and water for a break or two during the session.  This helps kids recharge.  Keep in mind that tired or sick kids will not want to get their pictures taken, so be mindful of nap time when scheduling your session. If your child is sick, do not hesitate to call me to reschedule.

Full sessions take up to two hours. You will get a mix of posed and candid images.

My services include a photography session at your chosen  location, use of my backdrops and props and many hours of post processing. For location shoots, you will be expected to pay my expenses for any entrance fees, parking fees, or required permits.

After your session is over, I know you will be excited to see your images, most times I run into my house and upload them to my computer immediately because believe it or not I am just as excited as you to see what we created!  I spend a great deal of time going through and selecting the images that I think are the best quality and the ones that I would want!  It is my goal to have every session on a DVD to you within two weeks of the session, if not sooner.  I will also post a sneak peek on Facebook for you to share with all of your friends and family!

Please let me know if you have any questions. Together we will create memories for a lifetime!

I can’t wait to get you and your family in front of my camera!
